O’Hare Towing Service recently responded to a call from a loyal customer requesting a heavy tow. This customer has used O’Hare’s heavy tow services several times and knew that he could trust the experienced team for this heavy tow job.
The Illinois customer needed assistance for this heavy tow as he needed to load generators onto a trailer. The generators were used and the customer was selling them to a company in Indiana.
Upon receiving the call requesting a heavy tow, the O’Hare dispatcher checked to see which headquarters was nearest to the customer’s location. O’Hare has locations in Gardner, Melrose Park, Lockport, and Downers Grove, and all are equipped and ready to deal with heavy tow jobs.
Once the nearest towing crew arrived at the heavy tow location, they assessed the situation. The heavy tow crew needed to lift 2 generators onto an awaiting step-deck trailer. Each generator weighed about 18,000 lbs.

To start the heavy tow, the O’Hare crew began by using the lift points that were built into the top of the generator. This way it would be simple enough to set up the rigging for the heavy tow. The heavy towing team then lifted it up, pivoted, and slowly put the generators down on the trailer.
